What happens in a BeautifulKi Shiatsu session?

BeautifulKi Shiatsu is an excellent way to maintain wellness and improve vitality.

At the beginning of the session, in order to give you the most effective session I evaluate you to determine the patterns of Ki imbalance that may be present. Then, depending on the initial assesment, I use a variety of techniques to improve and harmonize the natural flow of Ki throughout your body while promoting deep relaxation. These include gentle holding, pressing with palms, thumbs, fingers, elbows, knees and feet, and when appropriate, more dynamic rotations and stretches. Other techniques can include rocking, rubbing, kneading, and tapping. You'll participate by focusing on your breathing.

BeautifulKi is a deeply relaxing method of touch and you might experience zoning out along as being able to breathe deeper and incidentally align your body/mind/spirit. Depending on the goal of the session, the effect may be stimulating or calming. At the end of the session you'll have a few minutes to experience your readjustment.

A one hour session can already free you of acute pain. Generally, with more chronic conditions, after the first session you will feel relief for about three to four days until when your body will fall back to old patterns and the pain resurfaces. In these cases - most - you might need to receive sessions on a regular basis, until your body relearns how to function properly. Frequency of sessions is decided on an individual basis and is discussed upon completion of the initial treatment. Cosmetic improvements are not the intended result, yet everyone looks better after a treatment! It is performed fully clothed, therefore no oils are used.
